Steampunk Unity GreyBox

Below are some pictures I have taken from unity of the grey box that I have made from the Birds Eye view concept I drew in the previous posts

This is a grey box I have made in unity this is showing the basic shapes and layout of what I want to do in unity I will be looking into more research images on Howell buildings were designed in the Victorian era which will be drawing most of my architectural style from for my steampunk environment.

Steampunk Layout & Design

Below is a scanned page from my sketchbook here I doodled a few little concepts for my steam punk environment at the bottom you can see a small Birds Eye view layout of what the environment I think should look like to the top right are doodlesof steam engines chimneys and a pivot bridge top left-hand corner is a corner of the view of the Birds Eye view environment below.

This environment will be situated around industrial area with trucks and ships below are some of the concepts I have drawn from the mood boards below as well.

Above are two sketches the bottom right-hand corner one is a tugboat/canal boat these are the main boat that will be in my environment the one at the top will be a one-off unique boat that would be situated in environment this boat is space of the Mississippi Steamboat.

Above is a concept first steam truck it is pretty much the same as any normal truck except it's got a steam engine instead of petrol engine this does not look to steampunk to me so I may exaggerate some of the mechanics on this truck.

Sci-Fi mood board

Below is a collection of image I've put together for my sci-fi mood board, which will show off environment that will hopefully be similar to that of the halo ring and Elysium big circular space stations orbiting the planet. In my case it will be Mars and more consistently small area of farmland on this ring that will support the local inhabitants

Why am I doing Sci-Fi

I have always enjoyed imagining what the future would look like and how humanity would lead I love looking at the possible weapons designs house layouts and new concepts beyond our imagining and the imagination of humanity eventually being in space. I have always loved sci-fi movies, with all their futuristic concepts, ideas, art styles and their interpretation of what the future will be like. This is why I've chosen sci-fi to be one of my environments. these are some of the films and anime that I will be using the inspiration.

Steampunk Mood Boards and Pictures

Steampunk

Below is a collection of mood boards and images that I think will help me in designing steam engines and steam assets for my environment as the environment will be an industrial area of this fictional world.

 The first mood board above is looking at the architecture and the setting which will be dark polluted and muggy.

 above is the La Revolution a project done by the student. This is a fictional Paris, where everything is very steam punk summoning environments and concepts are along the same lines of what I want to do with my environment

 above is a mood board for engines looking at how they work and different ways of using steam engines to operate the assets around the environment and looking at different colours that we used to colour the engines

above is looking at the environment, warehouses, bridges, architecture streetlamps kind of cobblestones that we use during the era.

Why am I doing steampunk:

One of the main reasons I have decided to do steam punk environment as it is a mixture of old and new, and I have always had a fascination with steam has simply is. Yet, how it can power such interesting and intricate machines using my first-hand experience and inspiration from films and anime such as Steam Boy, Wolf Rain and Xam'd the lost memories and howl's moving Castle with links below to show you their style:

from all of these anime's I have watched. I've always enjoyed the steam punk technology with in these films, and wanted to make something of my own.

here are some images I have collected from Google to give a rough idea of what I'm planning to do

 this is a steam engine. I found on Google, which has a piston movement, which I would like to copy in 3-D

 the image above, and the image below, or the water treatment plants near where I live. This is the kind of architecture. I would like to incorporate into my steam punk environment

 the image below is a side on view. The simple steam pump, which I'll use of inspiration in making my steam engines in 3-D

The Four Worlds

for my final project I will be producing for environments. One will be set around the Victorian era steam punk environment the second one will be based around the science-fiction environment similar to that of Halo and Elysium the third environment or con system of an organic small island in Lake were very organic shapes and trees. The final environment will consist of the real world urban environment, possibly from the town of Kingston in London
